Why two similar homes can cost different amounts
Bathrooms, kitchens and heavily used rooms often need more attention than lightly used bedrooms. A two-bedroom home with two bathrooms and considerable build-up may require more work than a larger home that is already maintained. Describe condition honestly and mention pets, stairs and delicate surfaces. Photographs can help explain a particular problem, but a final scope still needs agreement.
Hourly rates and fixed quotes answer different questions
With a timed visit, ask what can reasonably be completed within the booked time and how priorities will be handled. With a fixed quote, ask which tasks and rooms it covers. Neither format automatically means better value. An hourly figure without an estimate of time is difficult to compare with a fixed price for a defined checklist.
Check extras before comparing totals
Ask about supplies, equipment, travel and parking, and whether the total includes any applicable tax. Appliance interiors, internal windows and specialist carpet care may be separate. Do not assume that the phrase deep clean includes every possible job. Compare the same rooms and tasks, with the same condition information, before deciding which quote meets your needs.
Frequency and the first visit
A first visit may need longer than subsequent maintenance visits. Ask whether the initial appointment has a different scope and how the regular arrangement will be reviewed. A lower recurring price is only useful if the agreed tasks fit into the time. If your budget is limited, list essentials first and discuss rotating less urgent detail work rather than expecting everything every time.
Request a useful Oxfordshire quote
Send your postcode, bedrooms, bathrooms, preferred frequency and priority tasks. Say whether the home is occupied and how access works. Lemon Squeezy can discuss domestic cleaning coverage and availability for your address. We have not published a universal hourly price here because a personal quote should reflect your actual property and the agreed work.
Your practical checklist
- Postcode and property type
- Rooms and bathrooms included
- Current condition and priority jobs
- One-off or recurring visits
- Supplies, extras and total cost
Common questions
Can I get an exact price from bedroom count alone?
Bedroom count is a starting point. Bathrooms, condition, tasks and access also affect the scope and quote.
Is a deep clean always a fixed package?
No. Ask for the checklist and exclusions so you can compare equivalent services.
